Rick Chafey

Rick Chafey
At an early age, Rick demonstrated a knack for skilled manual labor and a talent for learning. He started out working summers during high school as a residential framer, and later with stucco and concrete crews. He became an electrical superintendent and later a superintendent for a leading U.S. homebuilder. all while still an undergraduate. He completed multiple projects in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado including large manufacturing plants, retail centers, residential subdivision developments, commercial remodels and tenant improvements. After graduating, he was hired as director of construction for a large manufacturing company. It wasn’t long before he set out to create a company that reflected his background and vision for the future.
Rick’s diverse experience and insatiable thirst for knowledge has manifested in the rise of Red Rock to its current status as a versatile and highly respected force in the custom design and construction market. Working across a spectrum of residential and commercial construction genres, the company embodies Rick’s spirit of problem-solving and innovation, and brings those vast resources to fruition in service of the company’s diverse and often-elite client base.
Rick has a long history of professional engagement and leadership, especially in the pool and spa industry. Over the past 20 years-plus, he has been a key player in leading industry groups, such as Genesis 3 where he chaired the advisory board, served as an instructor and was a member of the Society of Watershape Designers. He is now teaching for Watershape University, where is also a founding member of the International Watershape Institute.
“When you make a habit of learning, and applying that knowledge, anything and everything is possible,” he says.

He then started a construction clean-up company working for local pool builders. He sold the company and then started Red Rock with his long- time friend, Rick Chafey. Focusing mainly on the outdoor environments, Brett leads the company’s sales, design and construction activities for pools and landscapes.

Jessica Chrisman

Jessica Chrisman
She was hired on at Red Rock in mid 2007 as the Accountant/Office Manager. She is in charge of all of Red Rock’s accounting as well as managing the office–including human resources responsibilities. Jessica also works closely with the Superintendents and Project Managers on all jobs. In addition to these duties, she has successfully tackled the responsibilities of advertising and marketing. These tasks include assisting with management of the company website, printed brochures & pamphlets, and advertising in local magazines.
During her off time, Jessica enjoys spending time with family, friends and her animals and goes to the beach any chance she gets. Jessica’s organization and determination are wonderful assets to Red Rock Contractors.

Tom Lassen, P.E.

Tom Lassen, P.E.
Tom, a 4th generation Arizona native, grew up in Tempe and attended Arizona State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. After 20+ years in the design build construction world, Tom has accumulated an extremely diverse project management background. From master planned community land development, hotels, casinos, custom homes, resort swimming pools, to cannabis grow facilities and dispensaries, Tom has an insatiable appetite to learn the design-build needs of new industries. He even holds a nuclear engineering certificate from his training and work at Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant. Tom holds a Professional Engineering License in the State of Arizona and earned a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
In 2018, Tom started Roca Verde Design Build with Red Rock owners Rick and Brett. This sister company of Red Rock is focused on servicing the Cannabis Industry. Roca Verde has designed and built numerous cannabis facilities in the Phoenix area and consulted on several others out of state. The facilities include state-of-the-art fully automated indoor cultivation facilities as big as 60,000 SF. We have also completed extraction facilities, edibles kitchens, streamlined packaging facilities and retail dispensary shops.

Ben Haught

Ben Haught
With over 20 years of experience in design, Ben has been instrumental in designing a variety of recognized residential, commercial, and industrial projects. He also has the experience of managing the construction of most of these projects. He is skilled in civil planning with recognized designs and groundbreaking development approvals in Idaho and Arizona. He has successfully managed projects with environmental sensitivities, challenging topography, equestrian facilities, neighborhood mixed-use, high-density residential, and fully sustainable communities. Ben designed and built Gilbert’s first hotels including the Gilbert DoubleTree hotel and conference center. He has designed and managed construction for government agencies such as TAACOM and Customs and Border Protection including port of entry and telecommunication facilities. He has worked with Freeport-McMoRan as a certified miner to design and build communication infrastructure for many of their Arizona mines. Ben is constantly self-educating, staying on top of the latest in technical training in architecture, project management, and construction safety.
Ben’s extensive management experience and his ability to produce clean, detailed construction documents has been an invaluable addition to the Red Rock Brand.

Jordan Walker

Jordan Walker
He has a wide range of knowledge from framing, plumbing, welding, automotive, on & off road experience and project management. He is one of the guys on the Red Rock Team that is involved in many different duties from housing to the outdoor landscape environments. He now heads up the custom pool & spa division.
When Jordan is not working, he is spending quality time with family and friends camping, fishing, mountain biking, and exploring the outdoors in one of his off road vehicles.

Jon and his family have been living in Arizona for over 20 years and consider it home. He is an incredibly experienced and proficient skilled craftsman, not just in the field of carpentry but also as a welder and custom fabricator. His custom fabrication work can be seen in our photo galleries. In addition to his duties as our custom fabricator, Jon is also an experienced superintendent.

Joyce became a part of the Red Rock Team in August 2018. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, family, and friends, off-roading, at the sand dunes, and boating, anything outdoors. She is also a proud Costco Member since July 1996!

Vernon Ennels, Jr.

Vernon Ennels, Jr.
He provides construction supervision, including day-to-day site supervision and management, and scheduling and coordination of site activities. Vernon is directly responsible for providing technical guidance, monitoring performance, and ensuring a satisfactory level and quality work output though safe and efficient implementation methods.
Vernon enjoys spending time with his son, family, traveling, and attending church where he serves as church treasure. He also has a nonprofit 501c3 organization, JR Executives, that focuses on youth development and international missions. Vernon travels aboard twice a year to conduct mission trips to assist other countries economic development and spiritual enrichment.

Shawn McRae

Shawn McRae
Mr. Shawn McRae was raised in a military family, residing in various states and countries, which helped develop the core traits that define him today. Shawn worked as a wildland firefighter for over four years while attending Eastern Arizona College, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA, earning an Associate Degree in Construction Management.
Upon graduation, Shawn completed a dual apprenticeship in residential/commercial masonry and structural framing.
With 30 years of construction management experience, Shawn has successfully filled roles as an owner, estimator, project manager, and lead superintendent. For the past eight years, he has been a General Contractor lead superintendent, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, mentoring a diverse field team, and coordinating over 200 tradesmen. His project expertise includes large-scale high-rise, podium/garden-style multifamily, K-12, commercial retail, hospitality, and medical projects.
Outside of work, Shawn is a successful youth sports coach and father. He enjoys challenging himself physically and mentally by participating in epic endurance races, Spartan races, and trail/road races. To relax, he spends his time hiking, backpacking, camping, and riding off-road quads.

Jake Lupe

While attending ITT Tech, Jake worked in the demolition side of construction for over two years. After just three months in the industry he became a Project Lead, completing both residential and commercial demolition jobs. Jake then worked at Intel-Ocotillo Site as a C.A.D operator, providing assistance in the field resolving plumbing, piping, HVAC, and other mechanical issues. Other duties included drafting and detailing chemical lines to tools that make the chipsets, motherboards, and wafers components for computers, phones, and other electronic devices.
Jake strives for excellence and challenges himself to become more efficient and productive on a daily basis. He is always expanding his knowledge and skills as a member of the Red Rock Team.

Jack joined the Red Rock team in 2019. He is currently applying his talents to draft construction documents for a multitude of projects. He is excited to utilize his creativity and technical skills to assist the team in developing exceptional products. He is always willing to step up to any challenges that arise, as well as lend a helping hand. Jack hopes to continue to grow by gaining valuable experience with new opportunities at Red Rock.

Russell Hartell
Russell was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and studied civil engineering at New Mexico State University, where he interned with the Army Corps of Engineers during the construction of the largest Army hospital in the U.S. He later moved to Arizona to study Construction Management at ASU.
Coming from a construction-focused family, Russell worked his way up through the trades—gaining hands-on experience in drywall, framing, masonry, and more—before becoming a superintendent five years ago. Since then, he’s led projects ranging from downtown Phoenix high-rises to luxury custom homes in Paradise Valley.
Now part of the Red Rock team, Russell is known for his commitment to safety, high standards, and continual growth in construction, business, and leadership.

Drake Walker graduated from Queen Creek High School and has built his career through hard work, hands on experience, and a strong commitment to doing things right. He is OSHA certified, allowing him to prioritize safety and quality on every job. One of Drake’s biggest goals is to one day start his own company, using everything he’s learned at Red Rock to build something of his own.
Outside of work, Drake enjoys fishing, riding dirt bikes, and spending time with family and friends. He values staying active, being outdoors, and making the most of every day.

Lleyton Miller

Lleyton Miller
Lleyton, originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, but raised in Gilbert, Arizona. He is currently an Architecture student at Arizona State University. Lleyton has always loved structures and design. In 6th grade he designed his first house in Sketchup and it only grew from there. After a few years of continuing to design as a hobby, he was hired at 15 by Tim Boyle Design and Atmosphere Architecture to do models, drafts, and rendering. Throughout high school he learned several other CAD softwares and was blessed to have the opportunity to contract with other award-winning firms across the United States. After a brief 2 year pause for a religious mission, Lleyton came home and started working for Red Rock where he is excited to see where all the learning and experience will take him.
Aside from work, Lleyton enjoys a variety of hobbies from rock climbing to cooking and everything in between. As a cellist and vocalist, he loves music. He loves to be outdoors and spend time with friends and family. Lleyton hopes to continue not just design structures that will stand for time, but build a life that stands forever.

Viktoriia Boskovska

Viktoriia grew up in a developing Ukraine, where her passion for design started early through constant sketching and exploring new creative techniques. In many ways, her creative growth evolved alongside the environment around her, eventually leading her to pursue architecture. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Kharkiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture and her Master’s degree from Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
Her professional experience spans work in Ukraine, Russia, and the United States, contributing to both residential and commercial projects. Vik has been involved in all design phases, from early concepts to construction documentation, and brings a strong background in visualization, detailing, and coordination. Alongside architecture, she has a growing interest in marketing, visual storytelling, and project management, expanding her role beyond design alone.
Outside of the office, Vik is usually doing something creative or active, such as sketching ideas, traveling to new places, going to concerts, or staying active with pilates. She enjoys meeting new people and is always looking for inspiration in everyday life, which tends to follow her back into her work and into the way she experiences spaces.

Jeff holds a degree in Construction Management from Central Washington University and has more than 30 years of experience in general contracting. Over the past 23 years, he has developed a specialized focus in the construction of commercial pools, combining technical expertise with a strong foundation in both the electrical and broader construction industries. His well-rounded background allows him to anticipate challenges, coordinate effectively across trades, and deliver projects that meet high standards of quality and safety. Jeff is recognized for his detail-oriented approach and commitment to keeping projects organized, on schedule, and within scope.
Outside of work, Jeff values spending time with his family (and dogs) and making the most of the outdoors. He enjoys camping, exploring new landscapes, and taking part in off-roading adventures, reflecting his appreciation for both nature and the need for speed.

Heather Smith

Heather Smith
With 20 years of experience in the commercial pool construction industry, Heather brings a comprehensive, hands-on approach to every project, including those for resorts, communities, hotels, and fitness centers. Her expertise spans the full project lifecycle, from design and budgeting to project management.
Known for her attention to detail and deep industry knowledge, Heather is committed to delivering well-executed projects that balance regulatory requirements, functionality, and aesthetics. Her diverse background also includes owning and operating a successful brick-and-mortar bakery for nine years, where she built a strong foundation in business operations, customer service, and creative problem-solving.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible—whether off-roading, camping, or gardening. She is also a proud mom to her daughter, an Army veteran, and values hard work, resilience, and dedication in both her personal and professional life.
